In January 2017, Albany was approached by the Saatchi Gallery to launch its new gallery concept, SALON, which was created to present the work of leading international artists who have had limited exposure in the UK.
This new venture works in collaboration with galleries and artist’s estates in selling exhibitions, and has, thus far, held four exhibitions: Tsuyoshi Maekawa, Bram Bogart, Alexander Calder and Philip Pearlstein.
All of the shows have received extensive coverage in the arts press. Philip Pearlstein’s presentation was the focus of a long article in The Times, and was the subject of the leader pages.
The success of the launch and the exhibition campaigns have resulted in Albany being asked to promote one of the Saatchi Gallery’s headline exhibitions, Known Unknowns, in 2018.
‘Albany were my first choice for SALON. They oversaw its launch and have done a fantastic job promoting the gallery’s programme. They are a highly experienced, extremely knowledgeable and hard-working team.’ Philippa Adams, Senior Director, Saatchi Gallery
