Albany Arts Communications is delighted to announce the first exhibition in London of work by Trate, the Canadian figurative artist, which opens on 7 February 2019.
Entitled Emotive Brutes, the show is comprised of a suite of large-scale works in oil, all executed between 2017 and 2018. The paintings display Trate’s haunting, childlike aesthetic, chronicling the human condition through traceable brush strokes and reimagined facial traits, layered over distinctive colour patterns.
